Window Glass Replacement
When a window fogs up between the panes, the window itself is usually fine. What failed is the seal around the glass.
We replace the glass unit and leave your frame, sash, and hardware where they are. Across Will, Cook, and DuPage counties since 1986.

Frames Stay in Place
-
No Trim or Drywall Work

Costs Less Than New Windows

What a Failed Seal Looks Like
A double-pane window is two sheets of glass with sealed space between them. When that seal opens up, outside air and moisture get in and stay there.
-
Fog or Haze You Can't Wipe Off
The film is on the inside faces of the glass, where nothing can reach it. If cleaning both sides doesn't change anything, the seal has gone.
-
Condensation Between the Panes
Water appearing between the layers on cold mornings, or a cloudy patch that comes and goes with the weather. Same cause.
-
Why a Failed Seal Can't Be Repaired
There's no way to reseal a unit once it's open — the fix is a new glass unit. Anyone offering to repair the seal itself is selling you something that doesn't hold.
Glass Replacement or a New Window?
Replacing the glass is the cheaper fix right up until it isn't. Here's roughly where the line falls.
-
When Replacing the Glass Is Enough
The film is on the inside faces of the glass, where nothing can reach it. If cleaning both sides doesn't change anything, the seal has gone.
-
When the Window Should Go
Water appearing between the layers on cold mornings, or a cloudy patch that comes and goes with the weather. Same cause.
What We Replace
We replace the sealed glass unit inside the window you already have.
-
Double-Pane and Insulated Glass Units
We measure the existing unit, order a match, and set it into the sash. Vinyl, and aluminum frames.
-
Your Frame and Sash Stay Put
Nothing comes out of the wall. No trim work, no drywall, no repainting — which is most of why this costs less than a new window.
-
What We Don't Do
We don't do frame repair, hardware replacement, or caulking. When those are what's failing, a new window is the honest answer and we'll tell you so.
How It Works
-
We Measure the Unit
Glass units are made to the exact opening, so we take the measurements on site rather than working from a standard size.
-
We Order and Install
The unit is built to order, then swapped into the existing sash on a return visit.
-
Turnaround
1-2 business days.
